The years we spent together
Within my heart will stay
Smiles you gave a treasure
I see them 'till this day

I miss the arms that held me
The friend who was my best
For years you were a constant
Within my life so blest

No matter what the road was
I knew that you'd be there
Your life to me an honor
With children that we share

I see you in the shadows
Of steps I make alone
Your chair may now be empty
My heart is now your home

We shared so much together
In sunshine and in rain
Each day a special memory
With hope will ease my pain

Your children all beside me
Each one a part of you
I hold them to me closely
I know we'll all get through

My heart is always with you
As life will carry on
My love of you unending
Like dreams we built upon

I walk beside you daily
Your footsteps I now share
My arm around you always
I close my eyes you're there.
