Memories we've gathered
They live in our hearts
Each one a treasure
That never departs

Words cannot measure
What in life you meant
Brothers and sisters
Now we lament

Time has new meaning
For now you are near
Spirit is with me
Your touch so sincere

Distance no matter
For in life we're bound
With love and with caring
Our hearts always found

Children together
Often we played
Brothers and sisters
With memories made

Heavens sweet glory
In pond filled with gold
There now your biggest catch
To have and to hold

See from a distance
In each rising star
Remembrances gathered
Wherever you are

Those who have loved you
They're all filled with pride
Friendships you've gathered
On earth shall reside.

This poem written in memory of Evelyn Fort Stewart's

brother Carl Horris Fort. Evelyn, a dear friend of mine

lost her brother to cancer on September 24, 2003.

It is with deepest condolences that I offer my love

and friendship to my friend and her family at this time.

May she always feel tenderness of her brother's love.
