Sky is filled with glory
The sun has wondrous glow
Rays of very special lights
Will fill our earth below

No moment left in passing
No time to say good-bye
The souls of many heroes
Now gathered way on high

Each ray of light a beacon
For what in life they gave
Their epitaph be written
Within sky's golden rays

Sadness in their passing
But joy that they were here
Each one an inspiration
For all who held them dear

All of those who leave us
Within our shortest breath
We'll keep them for eternity
By bounty they have left

So look up to the heavens
As sun shines with great depth
Spirits of our nation's heart
Forever in their debt

All the brave and mighty
Who go where no man dare
Smile with greatest courage
With so much joy to share

Within this life be written
Words we shall repeat
Columbia's great mission
Continues as we speak.
