Heard the roar of thunder
From all across the land
Hearts of love all gathered
Reaching out their hand

With tears and desperation
They fought to set those free
So endlessly avoiding
The danger they could see

They walked into the fire
With strong and steadfast goal
Gave their life so willingly
What courage to extol

Those faces we remember
They flash across the sky
Soldiers born of courage
They never truly die

Forever they are with us
In treasures we can find
Within the hearts of many
Life's memories enshrined

Our hearts forever grateful
Such pride we have attained
Our very special heroes
In life have been ordained

To walk within our shadow
Upon the earth below
Their spirits always with us
Wherever we may go

The flag now has new meaning
That furls within the sky
Thunder is their power
Whenever they go by.
