Empty chairs within a garden
We pause and just reflect
Answers seem to come along
These times in life perfect

Sat within a chair like this
It seemed like yesterday
Someone came and sat by me
I said "how are you today"

They smiled and nodded softly
So grateful that I spoke
Asked me what my name was
We laughed and talked and joked

Years have past us since that day
Remembrance bright and gay
Times of life so special
In the very finest way

Thinking back with memories
I look upon this chair
My friend no longer with me
But always she is there

I smile now when I go there
Take the path we shared
All because we had a need
To show that we both cared.
